RoundGlass Punjab FC has announced their team for the Hero Super Cup 2023

Champions of the Hero I-League 2022-23 RoundGlass Punjab FC will kick up their Hero Super Cup 2023 campaign on Saturday. It will be on April 8, against Kerala Blasters FC from the Indian Super League.

The match moreover will be held at the EMS Corporate Stadium in Kozhikode. However, it is set to begin at 8.30 p.m.

They have assigned RoundGlass Punjab FC, Kerala Blasters FC, Bengaluru FC, and Sreenidi Deccan FC to Group A . The Club moreover will field a 26-man roster, with the majority of the players returning from the I-League championship squad.

“We are delighted to be included in the 2023 edition,” stated Nikolaos Topoliatis, Director of Football for RoundGlass Punjab FC. ” However, as the champions of the I-League, it will be a good opportunity for the squad to face the Indian Super League sides. Staikos Vergetis, Head Coach of RoundGlass Punjab FC, addressed the media before of the league, saying, “We will approach the Super Cup with discipline and focus and we have a chance to measure ourselves on where we stand against the teams from ISL. Moreover, we are facing strong teams and these matches will help us to understand how near or far we are from this level.”

RoundGlass Punjab FC’s 26-man team consists of:

Kiran Kumar Limbu, Ravi Kumar, and Jaskarenvir Singh are the goalkeepers.

Aleksandar Ignjatovic, Khaiminthang Lhungdim, and Tekcham, Deepak Devrani, Abhishek Singh. Shankar Sampingiraj, Hmingthanmawia, Suresh Meitei, Naocha Singh, Mohammad Salah are the defenders.

Freddy Lallawmawma, Samuel Lalmuanpuia, Brandon Vanlalremdika, Ajay Chhetri. Ashis Pradhan, Maheson Singh, Manglenthang Kipgen, Juan Carlos Nellar, Juan Mera are the midfielders.

Krishnananda Singh, Pranjal Bhumij, Aphaoba Singh, Daniel Lalhlimpuia, and Luka Majcen are the forwards.
