According to the Daily Star, Sergio Ramos rejected a high-earning deal of €200,000 weekly from Manchester United. Real Madrid club legend and former captain Sergio Ramos has already announced his departure from the club back in June. Ramos ended his 16-year spell at Real Madrid, after failing to renew his contract in time. Following which the 35-year-old is available in the summer transfer market as a free agent.

As Ramos announced his decision about leaving Madrid, all the people tried to guess the next club he would be joining. However, the defender has made it clear about not joining his former Sevilla next season. It was rumored that Sevilla had offered a five-year deal with a sit in the club’s board. But Ramos confirmed in a press conference that he had no interest in moving to Sevilla.

However, Ramos had still two other options in his hand as Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain were interested in him. Ramos had been linked about a transfer to England or France for several months following his contract situation. It was also reported that PSG have offered a high-earning job with a two-season contract to Ramos. But Ramos didn’t pay attention to it as he tended to stay at Madrid.

But Ramos has to decide now as he is without a club after his contract ended on 30th June with Real Madrid. And as per the latest reports, it seems he has decided to join PSG after rejecting United’s €200,000 weekly contract.

Sergio Ramos rejected Manchester United’s high earning deal

Manchester United are in the market for a center-back to get a good pairing for Harry Maguire at the backline. Following which United were desperate to land the free agent Sergio Ramos this summer. United were close to signing the center-back, but the deal fell off as Ramos decided to shake his hands with PSG.

Manchester United offered Ramos a one-year deal worth €200,000 a week, with the option of a second season. It is believed that the offer was much high than what PSG has offered to land to center-back this summer.

Despite getting a high-earning offer from Manchester United, Ramos chose to shake his hands with PSG for next season. As per Mohamed Bouhafsi, Ramos has agreed on a two-year deal with PSG, and the official announcement will be made in a few days.

After failing to land Ramos, United are back to square regarding the center-back issue. However, United are now keeping Raphael Varane as their first choice center-back in the signing list. And as per the latest reports, they are ready to offer €50 million to Real Madrid to sign the Frenchman.
