Sevilla to offer starplayer a bigger contract to thwart clubs

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Sevilla are reportedly going to offer Bryan Gil a new contract so as to ward off the interests of Spanish heavyweights, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The 20-year-old left-winger is currently on loan to Eibar from the Andalusian club. His loan spell ends in the summer this season. Thus, the club is working on increasing his asking value to almost €100-150 million. The Spanish lad has even been tipped as the “New Cruyff” in modern football.

It will be tough and expensive for the El Clasico rivals to buy Gil off of Sevilla.

Sevilla looking forward to keep Bryan Gil

Bryan Gil has been impressive in the La Liga and thus, earned a national call-up for the World Cup Qualifiers for Luis Enrique’s Spain. The Catalan-born youngster joined Sevilla’s youth academy aged just 18 and then, made his senior debut against Atletico Madrid in 2019.

However, he just made three appearances in the beginning of current season and last season and was loaned to Eibar. Additionally, he had been brilliant with his new club scoring 3 goals in 20 appearances.

“He can do certain things and has great versatility, as he can play at full-back in the middle or on the left wing. It’s impressive.”FC Barcelona scout, Mani.

As per Spanish media outlet AS, Sevilla are likely to increase his asking price. They would be most likely to keep the youngster at the club or getting a huge sum for his transfer. Gil got excited after getting compared to one of his idols, Neymar. However, he has not thought as of now for a potential move to Ronald Koeman’s side or Real Madrid.

“I always like to be on the agenda of one of the best teams, but I have a contract until 2023 with Sevilla.” – Bryan Gil on his future.
