The Emerging Player of the 2022–23 Hero ISL, Sivashakti Narayan, has been called up for the U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers. Sivashakti is also named captain of the squad. Clifford Miranda, who is the assistant coach of ISL outfit Mohun Bagan Super Giant, has also been appointed head coach of the Indian men’s U-23 national football team.
Sivashakti Narayan: The Rising Star:
The 22-year-old young Indian striker started his youth career at Raman Vijayan Soccer School. In 2020, Sivashakti joined the Bengaluru Reserves and also displayed excellent performances for the team. Later in 2021, he joined the senior Bengaluru FC squad.
Till now, Shivashakti has played 40 matches for Bengaluru FC, in which he has scored 12 goals. Last season, he also won the Durand Cup with the Blues and was also in the Hero ISL runnes-up squad. Playing alongside Indian captain Sunil Chhetri and Fijian international Roy Krishna, Sivashakti has gained a lot of experience, which will obviously help him succeed in the upcoming days.
Bengaluru FC’s young striker has the enthusiasm and potential to be a lethal striker in the future. He also has very good speed and excellent finishing skills, and he looks promising in every appearance. Moreover, Sivashakti is going to lead India’s U-23 team in the upcoming Asian Cup qualifiers.
