The Technical director of Borussia Dortmund Edin Terzic has turned down an offer from Hertha Berlin. Hertha approached the 38-year-old to take charge of as their new manager.

This is according to news coming from Sport Bild. Terzic was the caretaker manager of Dortmund last season and was replaced by Marco Rose. Hertha is among the many clubs that have shown interest in bringing him to their team in the role of a manager.

In his limited time with Dortmund, Terzic has been successful in turning around their fortune. He also lead them to a DFB Pokal trophy and on the arrival of Rose, was given the role of Technical director. Hertha has been on a downward trajectory and is hoping that Terzic will be the ideal solution to their problem.

HERTHA TURNING TO IMPRESSIVE TERZIC

In his 32 games as the manager of Dortmund, Terzic was able to win 20. His sides scored 74 times during this time and collected an average of 2 points per match. He gave more character and resilience to the young side which ultimately helped in ending his time with a trophy.

This success on the field was immediately noted by clubs in Germany as many offers came for Terzic. The 38-year-old who has worked as assistant manager for Besiktas and West Ham, however, decided to take the Technical Director role offered by Dortmund.

Hertha on the other hand has had a terrible time with their recent managerial choices. The club is not consistent and is currently in the 16th position at the Bundesliga table. Manager Pal Dardai is not considered as a long term choice by the club and is working hard to land Terzic.

Terzic at the moment have rejected the offer and is happy to continue in his new role. Whether a better offer or an offer from another team will tempt him to make a switch is not sure. But till then he will be a vital part in the Dortmund setup.
