Vector X launches Athlete Management Program, onboards Naga footballer with IKF

MongstuTungoe- 19-year-old full-back from Nagaland, to their athlete management program. Vector X in its collaboration with Talent scouting partner, India Khelo Football (IKF)  sign up a young football prodigy.

Excited about the future, MongstuTungoe aspires to play in Europe if scouted. And IKF is commits to supports him in realizing his dreams. The organization will assist in placing him either in India or the US, based on his preferences.

Mr Vikas Gupta, MD, Soccer International expressed delight and the promise of a long term commitment to Athlete Management Program (AMP) & partnering with IKF as Scouting partner for Vector X AMP.

Having played the sport since he was a child, his passion and dedication have shone through. He garnered valuable experience during his time at Sudeva FC’s residential academy in 2014. And later played for Guwahati City FC from 2014 to 2016. His exceptional talent earned him a spot in the prestigious International Soccer Showcase in 2022. Where he was select to join a residential setup in Spain on a scholarship.

Baljinder Singh, National Head of Brand Marketing at Vector X, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership moreover the potential impact it holds. “We are thrilled to join hands with IKF and welcome Mongstu to the Vector X athlete management program. IKF’s involvement with Mongstu has been instrumental in identifying and nurturing his talent further. In February 2023, he participated in a workshop organized by IKF and ProSoccer Global. During the workshop, Jimmy Hayes, a scout from a Premier League academy in the UK, was impressed by Mongstu’s attitude, physical attributes, and technical abilities. His exceptional performance made him the winner of the multi-city workshop. Earning him a fully-funded scholarship to train and be assessed at the renowned Steven Gerrard Academy in Liverpool.

IKF, a not-for-profit program, has been tirelessly working to create a structured career path for aspiring football players in India. By conducting trials across the country, moreover scouting exceptional talent, and showcasing them to clubs worldwide. IKF aims to bring India into the international football stage. And they’ve been onboard as a scouting partner with Vector X.

The collaboration comes at an opportune moment as IKF Trials Season 3. A 50+ city talent hunt, begins on July 8, with trials taking place at the Ambedkar Stadium in Delhi. Spanning over 50 cities, moreover this nationwide initiative aims to discover and showcase promising football talent from across India. With thousands of participants expected to take part and the involvement of numerous Indian and International Clubs. The season moreover will span nine months.
