1. Antonio Lopez Habas joins Mohun Bagan Super Giant as their new technical director

Mohun Bagan Super Giant named former head coach Antonio Lopez Habas of Spain as the team’s new Technical Director ahead of the next Indian Super League season on Friday. Habas moreover returns to India after managing ATK Mohun Bagan in the Hero ISL 2021-22 season.

The Spaniard is the first head coach in Hero ISL history to win two titles. He however began his coaching career with Atletico de Kolkata in 2014, becoming the first head coach to win the ISL title.

2. Jamshedpur FC signs Steven Dias as head coach of their reserves

Steven Dias has been named Head Coach of Jamshedpur FC’s Reserve Team, marking his return to the club after previously working as an Assistant Coach during the 2019-20 season. Dias moreover is poised to help to the development of new players inside the Jamshedpur organisation, with a wonderful coaching expertise and a solid track record.

The appointment of Steven Dias as the Head Coach of the Reserve Team reaffirms Jamshedpur FC’s dedication to fostering talent and ensuring a bright future for the club.

3. FC Goa announced the signing of winger Udanta Singh from Bengaluru FC

FC Goa announced on Wednesday that it has completed the signing of Indian international winger Udanta Singh on a multi-year contract. Udanta, a proven performer in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL), will strengthen the Gaurs, who have also signed fellow Indian national team member Rowllin Borges.

Singh contributed 22 goals and 22 assists in 201 Bengaluru matches, making him an important member of the team. Singh contributed to Bengaluru’s success in India and beyond. In 2016, moreover he led Bengaluru FC to the AFC Cup final, where they were defeated 1-0 by Iraq’s Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya.

4. Halicharan Narzary has officially joined Bengaluru FC

Halicharan Narzary, a winger for the Blues, signed a three-year contract with Bengaluru FC on Wednesday. Narzary played for FC Goa, NorthEast United FC. Moreover for Kerala Blasters, and Chennaiyin FC in the Hero ISL before joining Hyderabad FC in 2020.

Narzary has made 103 appearances in the Hero ISL over nine seasons. And had the second-most assists of any Indian player in his most recent campaign with six. Moreover the winger participated in Hyderabad FC’s championship-winning 2021–22 season. And finished second to Chennaiyin FC in the 2019 Hero Super Cup.

5. Mohun Bagan Super Giant extended the contract of spanish coach Juan Ferrando

Mohun Bagan Super Giant, the reigning Hero Indian Super League (ISL) champions, revealed on Tuesday that head coach Juan Ferrando has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.

Ferrando moreover joined the Kolkata-based club from FC Goa in December 2021. Under his leadership, they finished third that season and went on to win the coveted Hero ISL title in the 2022-23 season, defeating Bengaluru FC in a dramatic penalty shootout.

6. Mehtab Singh extends with Mumbai City FC

Mehtab Singh, a defender for the Islanders, has signed a three-year contract extension with Mumbai City FC of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL), the team announced on Monday. His new deal moreover keeps him with the Islanders through May 2026.

The 25-year-old has improved steadily since joining Mumbai City FC in 2020 and cemented himself as a cornerstone in the Islanders’ defence. Moreover, Mehtab was a key component of Des Buckingham’s team that won the Hero ISL League Winners’ Shield in 2022–23, qualified for the AFC Champions League again, and finished second in the Durand Cup.

7. Ayush Chhikara extends contract with Mumbai City FC

Ayush Chhikara of Mumbai City FC has signed a three-year contract extension with the Islanders that would keep him with the club until May 2026.

Chhikara, who was born in Haryana, began his football career with the Reliance Foundation Young Champs before joining Mumbai City FC in October 2020. Moreover the forward had a strong recovery for the Islanders, debuting for the first squad in the 2022 Durand Cup.

The 20-year-old also played for Mumbai City FC’s all-Indian side in the 2023 Super Cup, where he scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Chennaiyin FC.

8. Kerala Blasters has announced the contract extension of goalkeeper Karanjith Singh

Kerala Blasters FC of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) have confirmed the extension of veteran custodian Karanjit Singh’s contract for a year. The club announced his extension on Friday via its social media handles. Karanjit Singh’s contract with the Kerala Blasters has been extended until 2024. Allowing him to continue as a member of the Kerala Blasters’ goalkeeping unit.

Karanjit Singh, a two-time Hero ISL champion with Chennaiyin FC, joined the Blasters during the 2021-22 mid-season transfer window. Moreover over his six seasons in the Hero ISL, the shot-stopper has made 51 appearances for the two teams. Keeping 14 clean sheets and making over 120 saves.
