Rafael Crivellaro reunites with Chennaiyin FC

In preparation for the 2023–24 season, Chennaiyin FC has added Brazilian offensive midfielder Rafael Crivellaro as their third foreign acquisition.

The 34-year-old joined the Marina Machans after playing the second part of the 2022–23 season with Jamshedpur FC, moreover where he appeared in 13 matches across all competitions and recorded two goals and four assists.  This includes a strong showing in the Hero Super Cup, where three games yielded two goals and the same number of assists.

Keziah Veendorp joins Bengaluru FC

Keziah Veendorp, a Dutch defender, signed a two-year contract with Bengaluru FC on Saturday, which would last until the conclusion of the 2024–25 season.

Veendorp, a graduate of the FC Groningen Academy and most recently playing for FC Emmen in the Eredivisie, has represented the Netherlands at the U15, U17, and U19 levels.

Mohun Bagan adds Hector Yuste

Hector Yuste, a Spanish defender, was added to Mohun Bagan’s roster on August 3. The 35-year-old, who was previously from Mallorca, is their newest foreign defender and the team’s sixth addition so far this year.

Hector Yuste is a strong defender who excels in aerial battles in particular. In addition, his adept game reading and proactive defensive strategy make him a fearsome force on the pitch.

Puitea joins Odisha FC

Lalthathanga Khawlhring, aka “Puitea,” has been transferred to Odisha FC on a three-year deal for a record transfer fee.

The midfielder, who was born in Mizoram, began his career with Bethlehem Vengthlam before joining the DSK Shivajians Academy. Puitea received the “Best Midfielder” title for the 2015–16 Mizoram Premier League season.

Makan Winkle Chothe has completed his move to Hyderabad FC

Hyderabad FC of the Indian Super League has added winger Makan Chothe to their roster, the team announced on Monday. Prior to the 2023–24 season, the young player signs a three-year contract with the Yellow and Black.

Chothe, a Manipuri sensation who is making waves in the ISL, was born in Chandel and joined the Minerva Punjab Academy at the age of 17, making his debut for the first squad in the 2018–19 season.

Chothe made 26 I-League appearances, scoring twice, and excelling for Minerva Punjab in the 2019 AFC Cup. The teenage player joined FC Goa in the ISL in 2020, and the following year, he became a fixture in the first team, making 15 first-team appearances.

Lara Sharma joins Kerala Blasters FC

Lara Sharma, a custodian for Bengaluru FC, was acquired by Kerala Blasters FC on a one-year loan on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old is a skilled Tata Football Academy graduate. However he has a tonne of experience, having progressed through Bengaluru FC, ATK (reserves), and Indian Arrows’ football ranks. Lara, a Durand Cup champion, has also competed for the U18 team of the United States.

Jamshedpur FC signed Petar Sliskovic

Petar Sliskovic, a striker from Croatia, has been signed by Jamshedpur FC on a one-year contract from Chennaiyin FC.

With 8 goals and 4 assists in just 17 appearances for the club during his first season in the ISL, Sliskovic joins the Men of Steel. Along with technical skill and strength, the Croat is renowned for being strong in the air and for having a special goal-scoring ability.

Mohammed Sanan joins Jamshedpur FC

Mohammed Sanan, a young forward from the Reliance Foundation Young Champs team, has officially signed with Jamshedpur FC on a three-year deal.

Sanan moreover is a naturally offensive player who typically plays on the left side of the field and is capable of creating opportunities and scoring goals. He has been a member of the Reliance Foundation Young Champs (RFYC) since joining the team in 2016.

NorthEast United FC signs 5 mains

Shajan Franklin, Macarton Louis Nickson, and Mukul Panwar are three fresh recruits for NorthEast United FC.

The exciting trio joins the Highlanders ahead of the 2023–24 season, adding to an expanding list of potential. While Macarton and Mukul both received three-year contracts, Shajan only signed a one-year agreement. Earlier this year, Shajan and Macarton competed in the 2nd Division I-League as FC Bengaluru United colleagues in the midfield. The club’s willingness to provide possibilities for young footballers as well as the trio’s hunger to compete in the ISL are the three players’ primary justifications for joining the Highlanders.

Further, Asheer Akhtar was previously with Sreenidi Deccan. He has been acquired by NorthEast United FC, further fortifying their defensive unit. The versatile player signs a two-year deal with the Highlanders, keeping him with the team through the end of the 2024–25 season.

Moreover, tuesday saw the signing of talented teenager Huidrom Thoi Singh by NorthEast United FC.

The skilled midfielder from Manipur is the latest addition to the Highlanders’ expanding list of promising local players to sign with them ahead of the 2023–24 season. Thoi however started playing professional football at a very young age and was developed at the Reliance Sports Academy.
