Paris Saint-Germain will get Georginio Wijnaldum for free

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Georginio Wijnaldum is the first objective of the PSG leaders to rebuild their midfield. This part of the field has been their big weakness this season. Despite a big victory (2-0) against Monaco in the French Cup, Paris Saint-Germain has had a mixed season. Paris Saint-Germain will have to strengthen several positions. The midfield lacks diversity and creativity. The summer transfer window for PSG is likely to be very eventful.

That’s why Leonardo, Director of PSG wants to look at a solution at a lower cost: Georginio Wijnaldum. The player being free of any contract in a few weeks would be a free bargain for PSG. The Parisians are trying to convince the player to sign with a substantial salary. Georginio Wijnaldum would ask for a salary of €5 million.

Wijnaldum’s contract ends next month. The 30-year-old player has recently been linked with Barcelona. But the future of coach Ronald Koeman has totally put the transfer in question. But if the future of the latter is more than uncertain in Catalonia, Paris could therefore be an excellent destination for the Liverpool player.

Leonardo has taken action to try to convince the Dutch midfielder to join PSG. Wijnaldum has asked Liverpool for a salary increase to extend his stay. A request to which the Reds do not seem willing to respond favorably.

“Wijnaldum is a free transfer and keeps all options open. FC Bayern is a great club. If you are interested in him, do not hesitate to talk to us. ” -Humphry Nijman, Wijnaldum’s agent

Other opportunities than PSG for Wijnaldum:

Wijnaldum is also strongly interested in Bayern Munich. The German club has recently tried to attract Julian Draxler to their team. Unfortunately for Bayern, Julian Draxler made official the extension of his contract with PSG a few days ago. He agreed to lower his salary before committing himself for three more seasons. Following this failure, Bayern is now focused on Wijnaldum.

Julian Nagelsmann, the future coach of Bayern Munich, is among his great admirers. The future coach does not hide his desire to attract Wijnaldum. His versatile profile of box-to-box midfielder appeals to Julian Nagelsmann. However, the Dutchman seems to have other opportunities than Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.

Chelsea, Inter, but especially AS Roma are also said to be on the track of Wijnaldum. José Mourinho and Tiago Pinto are putting everything in place to bring the Liverpool player to the Italian capital in the off-season. They have already contacted the entourage of the Dutch international. All these clubs are ready to meet all the requirements of the player both financial and contractual. In addition, these teams are ready to ensure him a place in the squad.

The player is therefore in a strong position to decide for the continuation of his career. It remains to be seen which of his courtiers will be the most persuasive.
