Saul Niguez who opted for a loan transfer to Chelsea has been promised to give him his desired role in the midfield by Thomas Tuchel. The Spaniard was set to leave Atletico Madrid this summer as the La Liga champions have a loaded midfield.
However, Saul Niguez’s future club was not decided as Barcelona were interested in signing him in a swap deal for Antoine Griezmann. While Chelsea were interested to sign him on a season-long loan this summer.
At last on the transfer deadline after many failures, Saul Niguez was announced as a new Chelsea player joining them on loan. After playing for Atletico Madrid all these years, it’s time for a new challenge for him as he flys England. Chelsea were a long-time admirer of Saul Niguez as they kept eye on him all summer for a midfield option.
And now getting their hands on him it has made the Blues more strong to compete for the Premier League and Champions League. However, they were already strong in the midfield with players like N’Golo Kante, Jorgino, and Mateo Kovacic. But Thomas Tuchel has worries about Kante’s fitness as the Frenchman suffered the latest blow against Liverpool.
As a result, Tuchel handpicked Saul to add him as a replacement in the midfield for Kante. The Blues manager promised the Spaniard to give his desired role in the midfield. Following which Saul Niguez was convinced to start a new life at Chelsea by opting for a loan move.
If the midfielder is successful to impress Tuchel this season then Chelsea might make the deal permanent. And for doing so the Blues have to pay 30 million to Atletico Madrid. So, let’s see what magic Saul Niguez produces in the Chelsea midfield this season.
