AC Milan are looking to sign Douglas Costa after failed a failed loan at Bayern Munich from Juventus.
Costa joined Bayern Munich on loan in the summer of 2020. His move to the club excited the fans as he would be another world-class addition to their star-studded squad.
However, the 30-year-old Brazilian has failed to make an impact for Bayern this season. He has made 18 appearances in all competitions and has registered only one goal.
Bayern have expressed their dissatisfaction with Costa as he hasn’t been able to live up to their expectations this season. Hence they have informed Juventus that they won’t sign him permanently. This decision by the Bavarians would force Costa to leave the club as soon as his loan deal comes to an end.
AC MILAN TRYING TO SIGN COSTA FROM JUVENTUS
According to Daily Mail, AC Milan have expressed their interest in signing Costa.
AC Milan, who are currently 1st in Serie A, wants to bolster their attacking option. Having Costa among their ranks would strengthen their squad as he could be dangerous on the flanks.
Milan are looking to win Serie A this season as they want to put an end to Juventus’s successive title-winning campaigns. And they feel signing Costa would be icing on the cake as they already have strong attacking options.
However, it will be interesting to see how they complete the deal as they wouldn’t be able to pay his entire wage which is €6 million-a-year and they would want Juventus to consider taking care of half his wage.
