AC Milan are looking to further strengthen their squad as they are trying to bring back Diogo Dalot to San Siro. Milan are reportedly ready to launch a new bid for the defender.

Dalot spends his 2020/21 campaign with AC Milan on a loan. He is currently back in pre-season training with his parent club Manchester United.

Milan wants to bring back the right-back to their team. They are trying to offer another loan deal for the player with an obligation buy at the end of the loan. However, Manchester United do not want to sell their player, unless their valuation is met.

MILAN WANTS DALOT BACK AT SAN SIRO

Diogo Dalot was a very useful player for AC Milan last season as they finished second in Serie A. Having qualified to the Champions League, the club is looking to strengthen its squad.

Dalot featured 33 times in all competitions for Milan. He scored 2 goals during this time and was used in both the full-back positions. He is defensively very solid and good at handling aerial threats. While there is still room for improvement, especially in the attacking front, Dalot is an excellent long term option at just 22.

Manchester United are willing to let go of Dalot. The Red Devils are already linked with former Tottenham star Kieran Trippier. With Aaron Wan-Bissaka the preferred option at the right-back position, Dalot will struggle to find minutes at Old Trafford.

Currently, Milan are looking to offer a loan deal with an option to buy. Earlier approaches from Milan was rejected by the Red Devils as they don’t want to sell Dalot for a low fee. With a fresh bid, the Rossoneri will try to bring back the Portuguese international back to Italy as soon as possible.

Dalot is also getting attention from other clubs. Carlo Ancelotti is said to the interested in bringing the 22-year-old to Real Madrid. However, the player is keen on a return to AC Milan.
