Achraf Hakimi’ Agent Denies Arsenal Transfer Rumours

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Inter Milan’ Moroccan full-back Achraf Hakimi‘ agent denies the rumors about moving to Arsenal. He insisted that his client is happy in Italy amid the speculation surrounding a move away from Inter.

The 22-years-old right-wing-back joined Inter Milan from Real Madrid for €40 million a year ago. After a two-year loan spell at Borussia Dortmund between 2018 and 2020, Hakimi secured a permanent move to San Siro. He has flourished in Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system since then.

Hector Bellerin is reportedly on his way out of the Emirates. And Mikel Arteta will be required to replace him next season. Hakimi was rumored to be the man to replace Bellerin at Arsenal and he would’ve cost a lot as Inter paid €40 million just a year ago. He has a contract until 2025, but his representative quickly blew away the story.

Hakimi has made 26 appearances for the Nerazzurri in Serie A this season. In these 26 games, he was involved in 10 goals and he scored six of them.

Hakimi’ agent explained the Arsenal situation:

“Hakimi is happy at Inter with Conte, who is an excellent coach. Conte’s style of play suits Achraf and I think he will end up improving a lot because of this experience with the Nerazzurri.” – Achraf Hakimi’s agent Alejandro Camano said.

After the disastrous campaign in the UEFA Champions League, Inter Milan have won their last eight Serie A games and are unbeaten in eleven league games.

Inter are top of the league currently, they are 9 points clear of AC Milan who are 2nd. Conte’s men got 65 points in 27 games. They are on the verge of winning the Scudetto for the first time since that treble season in 2009-2010 under Jose Mourinho and demolish the dominance of Juventus.
