Ander Herrera was promised by Juan Mata that he would not regret joining Manchester United

Ander Herrera, the former Manchester United midfielder has paid tribute to Juan Mata after the Red Devils confirmed his release.

Herrera played with Mata at Old Trafford between 2014 and 2019. He revealed that his former teammate was key to helping him decide on a move to the club.

Herrera explained in an Instagram post farewell to Mata that his colleague Spaniard promised him he would not regret leaving for Old Trafford and that he was correct.

In fact, Herrera praised Juan Mata as a “legend” of the club. He even asked David de Gea to keep the Spanish flag flying high at Old Trafford.

Ander Herrera was told, he would not regret signing

Ander Herrera was signed for 29 million dollars by United in 2014. He stayed for five years, winning three titles, before joining Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer in 2019.

Herrera has long had a soft spot for United and was one of the first players to abandon his Super League aspirations last summer, despite the fact that PSG was not a member of the league.

Herrera had no regrets about joining United, and he presumably has no regrets about departing when he did after winning two French league titles.

Mata, Herrera, and De Gea were all near to the action, and the goalkeeper paid respect to his former teammate Wednesday, calling him the “ultimate professional.”

De Gea responded to Herrera’s post, amicably mourning that he was the last of the three left. It is currently not expected that the new coach Erik ten Hag will change coach in his first transfer window.

De Gea is not the only Spaniard at United, thanks to a group of youngsters making their way.

Alvaro Fernandez was part of the team on the day of the match at the end of last season. The winner of the FA Youth Cup, Marc Jurado, hopes to follow his example.

Argentine international Alejandro Garnazzo is half Spanish and played for the same club as De Gea, Atletico Madrid, before signing with United.

The excellent Mata and Herrera, who signed in 2014, show how long De Gea has gone. It took place at United in 2011 and is approaching 500 appearances for the club.
