Arsenal manager praises Leandro Trossard for his immense potential

Leandro Trossard - Arsenal

Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, playfully remarked that he would like to witness Leandro Trossard taking corners with his left foot. Thus, adding a touch of humor to the comparison with Arsenal legend Santi Cazorla.

Since his arrival from Brighton in January of this year, Trossard has emerged as a standout performer for the north London club. Thus, drawing comparisons with the Emirates fan favorite, Cazorla. The undeniable similarities in their playing styles include a low center of gravity combined with dazzling dribbling skills.

In the current season, Trossard has not only displayed his creative prowess. But has also been more prolific in front of goal. The Belgium international has notched up five goals across all competitions. With three in the Premier League and two in the Champions League.

Among Trossard’s five goals, he has demonstrated versatility by scoring with his right foot, left foot, and head. Given his comfort with the ball at both feet, Arteta compared the two-footed abilities of the Arsenal star and former Gunner Cazorla. Thus, raising questions about who possesses the superior quality in this aspect.

Can Leandro Trossard be the next big thing at Arsenal?

Arteta said about Trossard:

“I have to see Leo take a corner with his left foot. When he does that then maybe! He’s so good but Santi was something special.”

When asked to comment on where Leandro Trossard ranks among his best signings, Arteta expressed effusive praise for the Belgian. Arsenal secured his signature for an initial £20 million, with expectations that the eventual cost will rise to £27 million.

Trossard’s potential has been allowing him to step in for Gabriel Martinelli on the left wing. And thus lead the attack without the presence of Gabriel Jesus. Given his adaptability, there is a strong likelihood that he will be called upon for Arsenal’s upcoming fixture at home against Lens in the Champions League.
