Joshua Kimmich joined Bayern Munich nearly eight years ago from VfB Stuttgart. He has achieved his potential as a quality right-back with hopes of becoming a top-class midfielder in recent seasons. And in doing so, the German international has proven to be Philipp Lahm’s real heir for both club and country.
The 28-year-old is crucial to Germany and Bayern Munich. And he’s played nearly 350 games with Die Roten, contributing 40 goals and 94 assists. However, new rumours indicate that Kimmich’s future is uncertain. A situation like this has piqued the interest of several high-profile clubs, including Barcelona.
The Blaugrana will enter the summer transfer window looking for a long-term replacement for Sergio Busquets. Barcelona’s captain will leave Spotify Camp Nou during the summer transfer window.
