The 2023 summer transfer window will begin in a few weeks. Hence FC Barcelona executives will have their hands busy in the following months. The club is currently engaged in multiple operations. Thus one of the club’s key goals for the window being to bring in new players in various positions.
Barcelona set a deadline for completing transfers of new players
According to SPORT, the club has set a goal of finishing its procedures for new players by the time the team departs for its preseason tour of the United States. Currently, Barcelona has a friendly scheduled to take place in Japan on June 6th. They will play a match versus Vissel Kobe in japan. Following this friendly, the players will be released by the club for vacation or international duties.
The squad will then reunite in Barcelona on July 10th. Following some preliminary work in the club’s training facilities, the team will go on a four-game tour of the United States on July 19th. The first of these games will be played on July 22nd in California versus Juventus. As the majority of the players will be on vacation prior to this tour, the club’s management will be dealing with the most hectic period of the year. The club, particularly Alemany, will be trying to secure their summer targets by the time the team travels to the United States. Barca will have to give their best to do so.
The team is already in advanced stages of talks with several players, including Messi, Gundogan, Vitor Roque, and others. However, none of these deals are completed. Therefore club administrators will need to keep the process moving in order to secure the players during current window. In addition to player sales and contract renewals, the club has a number of other activities to accomplish. However, the goal is to finalise any player arrivals by July 10th. This will allow even newcomers to join the squad for preseason and integrate with their teammates before the 2023-24 season.
