Barcelona wants Julian Araujo out on loan to European clubs

Julian Araujo is having difficulty adjusting to FC Barcelona’s system of play, according to SPORT. The fact that he won’t be able to compete until next season doesn’t help the Mexican right-back, who joined the Blaugrana from the Los Angeles Galaxy during the winter transfer window. The blow he took on the last day of January, when he was unable to register in time, has had a significant impact on him.

Xavi is reportedly unimpressed with Araujo so far. Thus it’s believed he’s struggled to fit in with Barcelona’s distinct style of play. Barcelona believes that loaning him out will help him adapt to the demands of European football. Officials at Barça believe that this is the best way to assist him adjust to European football. Araujo requires game time and a first-team role, which he will not be able to obtain at Barça next season. The club believes that having Araujo on the bench for the most of next season would be a waste of effort. Hence FC Barcelona wants him out on loan instead. Barcelona’s right-back position remains a source of contention. Different reports circulating over whether or not the club will recruit a new full-back.

Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff seek to strengthen the right-back position, and if they do not succeed, Xavi will continue to rely on Jules Koundé and Sergi Roberto as ‘patches’ in the position. Jules Kounde has performed admirably at right-back this season, but he was not recruited to Barcelona to play there, and he would undoubtedly prefer to return to his preferred center-back position.
