Barcelona has a rich history of producing world-class talent. It seems that they have another emerging star in their ranks in the form of Estanis Pedrola, who plays for their subsidiary team. In recent years, the Catalan club has continued to develop exceptional players. And Pedrola could be the next prodigious talent to come through the ranks.

The 19-year-old winger, Estanis Pedrola, has been in outstanding form this season, impressing with his goalscoring abilities. He has scored 7 goals in just 14 games for Barca Atletic in the league. This has caught the attention of Xavi Hernandez, according to reports from Mundo Deportivo. His remarkable goal-scoring ratio is a testament to his potential. Hence, it could make him the next big talent to emerge from Barcelona’s youth academy.

Impressive records so far for Pedrola

Estanis Pedrola’s scoring rate is indeed impressive. Averaging a goal every 64 minutes, which surpasses his peers in the same age group. Victor Barbera is the closest competitor in terms of goals, having scored 8 goals this season in the league, one more than Pedrola. However, Barbera has played 23 games to achieve his tally, while Pedrola has scored 7 goals in just 14 games, highlighting his exceptional form.

Indeed, playing as a winger and still managing to score at such a rate is a testament to Estanis Pedrola’s ability and versatility. His contributions have been crucial in keeping Barca Atletic in contention for a playoff spot. Also his form has not gone unnoticed by the first-team staff at Barcelona.

The 19-year-old has been grateful for the opportunity to train with the first team and has publicly expressed his appreciation, saying:

“I am very grateful for the training I do with the first team and with the opportunities, they give me. When I go up, they correct details and I appreciate it”.

Under Xavi’s guidance, Pedrola made his Barcelona debut last season against Mallorca in a 1-0 away victory in the 2021/2022 La Liga campaign. He came on as a substitute for Ilias Akhomach in the last 10 minutes of the game. Since then, the 19-year-old has regularly trained with the first team. It appears to be a crucial part of Xavi’s plans for the future.
