Bayer Leverkusen are willing to listen to offers for their star-player Moussa Diaby. According to reports, Real Madrid and Manchester United are both keen on landing the 21-year-old Diaby.
Moussa Diaby is a product of the PSG academy. He has been nurtured by the French side since the age of 13. Diaby was promoted to the B team in 2017 where he played for a year. He was later sent on loan at Crotone.
The French winger later returned to his parent club and made his debut there, becoming the 124th graduate making the 1st team appearance in the process. He was able to showcase his talent as he made 34 appearances in his first year with PSG and scored 4 goals.
Later that year, Bayer Leverkusen signed him for €15 million on a 5-year deal. He has made more than 70 appearances so far, since the start of the previous season. He has been brilliant with a goal involvement in almost every match.
Moussa Diaby a great alternative for Manchester United and Real Madrid
Manchester United have always been a great admirer of young talents. They were scouting Diaby for a long time and were even close to signing him. But Bayer didn’t let him go as Kai Havertz left the club at that time. Losing another brilliant player in quick succession would be devastating.
The Premier League giants will be growing frustrated with the lack of a proper winger. Jadon Sancho was heavily linked with the Red Devils for the past few years and a deal was almost certain Eventually, that deal didn’t go through and United were left to adjust with their available players.
While Jadon Sancho still remains at the top of their shopping list, they will also keep an alternative. Moussa Diaby is a cheaper option and has all the attributes required to fit in the Red side. His €40 million asking price is also fitting for United as they will be having a low budget to spend.
