Borussia Dortmund might sign Edson Álvarez very soon

In the coming days, Borussia Dortmund will undertake talks with Ajax director of football Sven Mislintat. A fee of around 35 million euros plus potential add ons is being discussed. Last month, it was believed that BVB executives had already struck an agreement on personal terms with Alvarez. However he has been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea in recent months. However, it looks that Borussia Dortmund are currently in pole position to sign him.

Alvarez is not the just midfielder Borussia Dortmund has shown interest in signing this summer. An additional attacking midfielder is also on their wishlist. This week, BVB emerged with a bid for Wolfsburg midfielder Felix Nmecha, who BILD claims will cost roughly 10-15 million euros. They may face contest for the 22-year-old’s signature with Sport1 reporting that Manchester United might sign him. According to the source, the English Premier League club has already held conversations with Nmecha’s father, who acts as his agent. The Germany international would like to leave Wolfsburg this summer and transfer to England. Interested teams will have to pay a sum of around 15 million euros to secure his signature.

It is uncertain whether Borussia Dortmund will make an offer for Felix Nmecha this summer. However, given the exits of Jude Bellingham, Mahmoud Dahoud, and Raphael Guerreiro, it is evident that they will look for ways to strengthen their midfield  positions.
