After his spell with AC Milan last season, Brahim Diaz will rejoin them again this summer. Real Madrid and AC Milan have agreed on a two-year loan deal, that will take Diaz back to Italy.

The new loan arrangement will see the Spanish midfielder move back to San Siro for the next two years. Diaz spends his 2020-21 season with AC Milan after moving from his parent club Real Madrid on a loan.

The loan deal reportedly has an option to buy as well as a buy-back clause. Brahim Diaz will be wearing the number 10 jersey for AC Milan in the upcoming season according to the official statement from the club.

DIAZ BACK WITH AC MILAN

Former Manchester City player, Diaz moved to Real Madrid at the beginning of 2019. However, he was not able to cement his position in the Los Blancos squad. His limited playing time made him switch to AC Milan for a loan in the 2020/21 season.

The 21-year-old featured 39 times for the Rossoneri in all competitions. During that time he scored 7 goals for them. Diaz predominantly played as an attacking midfielder for AC Milan but also deputised in both the wings for them.

Diaz is an excellent passer of the ball and a good dribbler. He enjoys playing short passes while laying off balls for his teammates. The move will see the Spaniard play for AC Milan till the summer of 2023. Reports suggest that the Italians have the option to buy him by paying €22m at the end of the loan. Real Madrid is also reported to have included a buy-back clause of €27m for their young midfielder.

By bringing in Diaz, Milan has ensured more energy and youthfulness to their midfield. The Rossoneri has also made the loan move of Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori permanent, while also signing French striker Olivier Giroud from the Blues. Other major incomings include goalkeeper Mike Maignan from LOSC Lille and left-back Fode Ballo-Toure from Monaco.
