What prevented

For a long time, Real Madrid had the best midfield department in the world. However, things in the middle of the park may be about to change in the near future. Indeed, certain modifications are already in process.

Moises Caicedo aspires to play for Los Blancos

Casemiro left for Manchester United in the summer, and Aurelien Tchouameni was signed from AS Monaco. Eduardo Camavinga is gradually establishing himself as a starter on the team as well. While it appears that Luka Modric and Toni Kroos will be retained for another season, both appear to be nearing the end of their careers. As a result, Real Madrid may need to bring in midfielders shortly. Jude Bellingham is one player they have recently been linked with, and it is easy to figure out why. However, signing him will be difficult because many other big clubs are also interested.

Moises Caicedo is another rising midfielder in the premier league today, having established himself as one of the Premier League’s best young talents while playing for Brighton & Hove Albion. And it appears that the 21-year-old aspires to play for Real Madrid one day. The £70 million midfielder aspires to play for Real Madrid.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Caicedo stated in an interview with Cadena SER:

“It has always been my dream to play for Real Madrid.”

“Now I’m doing very well and why not one day play there and lift a Champions League with Real Madrid.”

In January, Caicedo was heavily linked with Arsenal and Chelsea. In order to part ways with their star midfielder, Brighton & Hove Albion may prefer a price tag of £70 million or more in summer.

Caicedo is a defensive midfielder who could fill the void left by Casemiro’s departure to Manchester United in the summer. At the same time, it’s difficult to imagine Real Madrid paying that much to recruit the Ecuadorian international from Brighton & Hove Albion.

Fabrizio Romano gives an update on Brighton star

Writing for CaughtOffside, Romano said:

“Arsenal are still interested in Caicedo but they’re not alone, there are more English clubs keeping an eye on his situation. I’m not aware of concrete talks with Real Madrid at this stage, it’s his dream but not something negotiated now.”

“I expect (Alexis) Mac Allister to leave Brighton; but Caicedo situation will be interesting too.”
