Casemiro: Al Nassr in talks with agents of Man United star

Manchester United defensive midfielder Casemiro could leave the club this summer. Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr are stepping up their interest in a potential deal for the aging Brazilian.

According to CaughtOffside Al Nassr have already held talks with the representatives of Casemiro. He is open to leaving Manchester United if the the right offer comes in for him.

It’s also expected that Al Nassr are ready to bid around €40m to United for Casemiro. They’ll also be prepared to offer the player a three-year contract.

Casemiro himself is yet to decide on his future. But the feeling is that he and United could part their ways this summer. Many fans will though be relieved by that news after his lacklustre recent performances.

Right time for Casemiro to leave the Red Devils

Casemiro was really poor for United in their embarrassing 4-0 defeat away to Crystal Palace earlier this week. His performance prompted Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher to call on him to end his career at the top level and move to Saudi Arabia or the MLS.

It remains to be seen what Casemiro will decide. Though it seems like the veteran’s considering if he still has what it takes to perform at this level.

Many star players have moved to Saudi in recent times. Casemiro could link up with former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo if he moves to Al Nassr. The Saudi club also boasts big names like Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic and Aymeric Laporte on their ranks.

United needs changes in midfield. They could bank as much as €40m from Casemiro’s sale. That could help them to sign a decent replacement.

United need young players like Mainoo who are more athletic and more composed on the ball. With Casemiro leaving they will also benefit from the huge wage bill.

With Ineos now involved in the footballing operations at United things are going to get shaked up.
