Chelsea have reportedly joined the race alongside Manchester United to sign Jadon Sancho.
Jadon Sancho, the 20-year-old winger who plays for Borussia Dortmund and since he debuted with the club he has scored 38 goals and has given 40 assists in 117 appearances across all competitions.
His versatility and unique ability to cause problems to the opponents’ defenses have caught the attention of many European clubs and two of them are Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea.
His contract with Dortmund has tied him down with the club till 2022 with a €108 million release clause. However, Bundesliga heavyweights are interested in listening to offers that come in the summer transfer window and if any club meets their demands then they will let their star man leave.
Chelsea to beat Manchester United to signing Sancho?
Chelsea have entered the race to sign the promising English star but according to reports Chelsea may pip United to signing Sancho as the latter’ use to look up to Chelsea and he said that he admired the club.
However, in an interview with World soccer Magazine, he hinted that he idolized a lot of players but he didn’t have a specific club that he looked up to.
I used to look at Ronaldinho on YouTube, That was a big thing for me.
He used to try things that no-one else would try and that made me like him a lot. I didn’t have a team that I supported, though. I just idolised a lot of great players.

Therefore the transfer race has left all doors open but it will be interesting to see which English club would he choose to play for as he is already dreaming of a return to England so at this stage anything is possible and all options are left open.
