Chelsea legend Leboeuf thinks Sterling didn’t play well last match

Frank Leboeuf criticized Raheem Sterling of Chelsea for his recent performance during the weekend. The 28-year-old Sterling was a member of the Chelsea team. They could only secure a 0-0 draw in their Premier League match against Bournemouth.

The £50 million forward, as reported by the Daily Mail, has rapidly established himself as an automatic starter in Mauricio Pochettino’s lineup. However, there is still a missing element in the attack that needs to be addressed.

Sterling hit the woodwork with a spectacular free-kick against Bournemouth. However, the English winger fell short in terms of delivering the final product in his offensive contributions.

What did Chelsea legend say about Sterling?

ESPN pundit Leboeuf indicated that Chelsea’s Sterling displayed a degree of wastefulness on Sunday. Particularly when it came to his final pass during the match. He said:

“Sterling was unlucky, but we saw the clumsiness of Sterling at some points—the last control, the last pass.”

Sterling’s absence from the England squad during the recent international break raised questions, but it’s noteworthy that his solitary goal this season came in the victory against Luton Town.

The speedy winger appears to be most menacing attacking choice of Chelsea. Even though he’s currently not in the best goal-scoring form. Chelsea’s head coach, Pochettino, expressed his desire to assist Sterling in reclaiming a spot in the England squad, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

At this point, the 28-year-old must step up and take the lead in the Chelsea lineup. Since, the team is in dire need of a consistent goalscorer.
