Crystal Palace 0-0 Manchester United post-match analysis:

Manchester United started the game very sloppily. They gave away balls in the wrong area, thankfully for them, it didn’t cost anything. United came back very nicely into the game. Matic’s long-range effort was brilliantly saved by the Palace keeper Vicente Guaita for a corner. From the corner, Cavani should have scored for the Red Devils.

Marcus Rashford had a very good opportunity after a great cross from Luke Shaw but Rashford scuffed his shot and put it wide.

In the second Manchester United were very bad and could not manage a single on target. Crystal Palace had better chances than them. Crystal Palace went very close from scoring. The initial free-kick blocked by the wall and the second ball came to Townsend but his shot went narrowly wide.

The best opportunity in the second half fell for substitute Daniel James. A great cross came from the left on James’ head but he could not connect the ball properly. At the end, Patrick van Aanholt had the best chance of the game. Van Aanholt’s attempt was brilliantly saved by Henderson.

Notable Performances:

Bruno Fernandes(CAM) – (5/10)(Manchester United): He did not have space to do anything and for that reason, he looked lost in the game.

Marcus Rashford(LW) – (4/10)(Manchester United): He has played every game for United so far, and for that reason, he looked tired and he was bad in this game.

Edinson Cavani(CF) – (5/10)(Manchester United): Came back to the side after injury trouble but he didn’t have any service so he was very quiet.

Crystal Palace will play next away to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday night in Premier League and Manchester United’s next game is Derby at Etihad Stadium on Sunday in the league.
