Erling Braut Haaland will decide about his future at Borussia Dortmund next week. The Norwegian is on the news for a move away from Dortmund later this summer. His release clause will come down to €75 Million at the end of this season and a lot of rich European clubs will try to sign him. Clubs mainly from Spain and England are going to take part in the race to secure the signature of Haaland.
Meanwhile, the Dortmund hierarchy are keen to know about his decision as soon as possible. Dortmund are eager to keep Erling Braut Haaland for another season but they also know it will be hard to keep the 21-year-old at the club. They are not ready to accept defeat in their quest to keep the brightest prospect in world football.
The Bundesliga outfit will sit down with the Norwegian to offer him a fresh deal if he chooses to stay in Germany. The 21-year-old’s performances for Dortmund are mind-blowing. He has made a total of 76 appearances and scored 76 goals with 21 assists for BVB since arriving at Westfalenstadion. A lot of managers and clubs across Europe are already admiring his goal-scoring ability. They will do everything possible to lure Haaland away from Germany.
Will Erling Braut Haaland agree to stay at Dortmund amid interests from elite and rich European clubs?
Erling Braut Haaland moved from RB Salzburg to Dortmund in January 2020 on a 4-year deal. Since then he has been in sensational form and has caught the attention of the best clubs in Europe. He has become a very important player at the Signal Iduna Park and Dortmund are adamant about keeping him for another 12 months.
BVB Dortmund’s head of first-team football Sebastian Kehl has confirmed that they are planning to sit down with Haaland in the coming weeks. Kehl is well aware of the Norwegian’s popularity among elite European clubs. He shared his thoughts about the situation during a press conference:-
“The situation is very clear, he has the opportunity to get out [of his contract in the summer. There are certainly a few more reasons why Haaland is in very good hands at Borussia Dortmund and why we as a club can continue to be a very good option for him.”
he added
“We will sit down with Erling and his team in the next few weeks and discuss the situation intensively. It would be good if a decision doesn’t drag on forever.”
said Sebastian Kehl
Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs on Haaland. However, reports have suggested that a move to Spain is his first choice and he would rather prefer a move to La Liga instead of going to any Premier League side.
