Famous Liverpool fan ‘humbled’ by Garnacho, asks him to join Liverpool

Alejandro Garnacho - Manchester United

Alejandro Garnacho stole headlines this weekend with his brilliant overhead kick goal which left everyone in awe. Actor Dominic Purcell urged Garnacho to join the club that he supports, Liverpool, after the Argentine scored the physics-defying goal for Manchester United.

The promising youngster famously has a Prison Break tattoo sleeve, the show Purcell stars in. Following the winger’s incredible goal on Sunday, the 53 year old actor made a cheeky plea on Instagram for Garnacho to join Liverpool, the club Purcell supports.

Who is Dominic Purcell?

Dominic Purcell is best known for playing Lincoln Burrows in the hit US TV show Prison Break. Purcell has been around the scene for quite some time, famously performing alongside Wentworth Miller.

As mentioned, the Australian-raised actor is a Liverpool supporter. However, he was born in Merseyside, where he developed his love for the Reds.

Indeed, Purcell is one of many A-list Hollywood stars who supports Liverpool, with other famous names including the likes of Daniel Craig, Liam Neeson and Millie Bobby Brown.

Garnacho may have already scored the best goal of his career

It’s safe to say Garnacho’s goal against Everton on Sunday is one of the best in Premier League history. The 19 year old Man United teenager is still very much at the start of his footballing career but he may have already scored the best goal of his career. It would be quite incredible if Garnacho scored a better goal than he did at the Goodison Park this weekend.

It seems that Alejandro Garnacho loves Manchester United. The dream of Dominic Purcell of Garnacho playing for Liverpool might be impossible given their fierce rivalry. However, there can be some solace in the fact that the goal was scored the Reds’ local rivals.
