Guti wants Kvaratskhelia to join Real Madrid this summer

Guti, a former Real Madrid star, made a playful request to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, asking him to join Madrid. He added that if Kvaratskhelia agrees, he would receive an iconic Real Madrid shirt as a gift.

Days prior to Guti’s remarks, Kvaratskhelia revealed in an interview that he idolized the former Real Madrid midfielder during his upbringing.

“I love football because of Guti, who played in Real Madrid. By the way, when I was a child, Guti’s T-shirts were not sold in Georgia.”

“I bought a white jersey and wrote the number 14 on the back with a pen. I always wore this jersey when I played football.”

Kvaratskhelia has been a standout player for Napoli this season. Despite being in his debut season in Italy, the 22-year-old has managed to score 12 goals and provide 15 assists in all competitions. This caused prominent teams in Europe to take notice of his exceptional performance.

What did Kvaratskhelia agent say about him joining Real Madrid?

Notably, Kvaratskhelia’s agent gave Real Madrid a reason to be hopeful after revealing that his client holds affection for the club based in the capital city. He said:

“His father and I are Barça fans, but Kvara loves Real Madrid. He’s a player for that level, who can play for any team. If we saw him in a Barça jersey, I would be happy, but he is a Madridista.”

Furthermore, Guti has now made a request to the 22-year-old Kvaratskhelia to join Real Madrid.

“I’m Kvaratskhelia’s idol? Kvara, come to Real Madrid. I will send you a shirt.”

Kvaratskhelia’s current contract with Napoli runs until 2027. This means that if any club intends to sign him in the upcoming summer transfer window, they must meet Napoli’s asking price. The asking price is expected to be at least €100 million.

However, before that happens, the interested party must convince Napoli to release the player. As previously reported, Napoli has adamantly refused to consider any offers for Kvaratskhelia. This stance is unlikely to change during the upcoming summer transfer window unless a remarkable bid is presented.
