Ian Wright talks on Arteta’s Trust Issues

Table toppers lock horns for youngster

Ian Wright believes that Kai Havertz was not starting in Arsenal’s 2-1 victory against Wolves because Mikel Arteta still doesn’t trust him.

Big Bet

For the big-money summer acquisition from Chelsea, the first few months in Arsenal colours have been both exciting and challenging.
However, Kai Havertz has been settling in over the past few weeks, as seen by his back-to-back goals.

While many anticipated that the midfielder for Arsenal would start for the squad against Wolves on Saturday. Mikel Arteta chose to start Leandro Trossard in his place.

According to Premier League Productions, Ian Wright believes that’s because Kai Havertz “isn’t at the level yet” to accomplish that. While Leandro Trossard offers “more control.”

The Germany international did ultimately play against Wolves, helping Arsenal maintain their lead in the Premier League standings.

Ian Wright Comments

“Arteta knows he has got that up his sleeve. Especially with Havertz now he has got confidence by scoring in his last couple of games,” said Wright.

“I think Trossard gives him a little bit more control. In a game where we are going to need to control – he gives us that little bit more stability and Kai maybe isn’t at that level yet, in respect to the trust Mikel will have in him, at the moment.”

In theory, the Premier League champions should have no trouble winning all three points.

However, inform Jurgen Klopp’s team that they required a late equaliser in order to leave Kenilworth Road with a point.

Arsenal won’t have it easy, but Arteta will probably make some changes, especially with Aston Villa on Saturday night.

In front of a very busy schedule, it wouldn’t be shocking if Mikel Arteta started Kai Havertz and began rotating his players.
