Juventus are concerned about Ronaldo’ recent poor form

Juventus are reportedly concerned about the lack of form of Cristiano Ronaldo as the speculation of his future might be causing an effect on his on-field performance in the latter stages of the season.

The contract of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner with the Bianconeri will finish in June 2022. But, the stories of him linking with a sensational transfer to Manchester United, Real Madrid, or PSG have been floating around.

The Old Lady of Turin bought Ronaldo from Real Madrid for a fee of €117 million in 2018. Since then he made 128 appearances for the Bianconeri, managed to score 97 goals and 22 assists.

The 36-year-old Portuguese forward criticised for his performance at the weekend against Fiorentina in a 1-1 draw away from home. However, his stats for this season looks pretty good as he has managed 25 goals in 29 Serie A games this season. However, he has failed to find the back of the net in any of his last three matches.

Will Ronaldo stay at Juventus next season?

Juventus might have to sell Ronaldo if they fail to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season. As the 36-year-old forward doesn’t have a lot of time in his career and Ronaldo wants to play in the Champions League as well.

If that scenario happens then it will be hard to keep Ronaldo in Turin in terms of financial situation. Juventus are facing huge debts for the pandemic and if they fail to qualify for the Champions League then it will be a huge financial loss for them.

Which will open up the possibility to Ronaldo from Juventus for the clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester United or PSG. However, Los Blancos president Florentino Pérez has ruled out the reunion with Ronaldo.

Few reports state that Juventus want Paul Pogba from Manchester United and Pogba wants to leave Old Trafford. This could create an open door for Juventus and Manchester United of a swap deal involving Ronaldo and Pogba. But it won’t happen if Juventus fail to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
