Lautaro Martinez clarifies his intention to stay with Inter Milan

Lautaro Martinez

Even though Lautaro Martinez didn’t shine in the world cup,  Argentina defeated France to lift the world cup after 36 years.  Now after a lengthy celebration, Martinez is ready to return to Inter Milan.  He thereby clarifies his intention to stay.

Reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport state the Argentinian is returning to Italy on Friday, 30, 2022. However, he’ll be following a tight schedule including daily training sessions for five days. He is expected to be in perfect shape before their match against Napoli in January.

Will Lautaro Martinez stay at Inter Milan?

Despite lifting the World Cup, Lautaro wants to focus on his current club. He is currently loving his life in Milan and reportedly told club officials about his desire to stay with Inter Milan.

The Biscione will host the Partenopei at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on January 4, 2023. They will look to upset their opponents with a fit and ready Lautaro in the squad. The Argentinian striker has already scored four goals from eight matches in the league so far.

Inter is currently trailing behind Napoli by 11 points. Lautaro Martinez’s brilliance could just make Inter take the lead in the second half of the season. That will make Lautaro the second Inter player to lift the Scudetto cup right after the World Cup after Materazzi.

Lautaro Martinez had a disappointing World Cup and missed a lot of crucial chances during his time on the pitch. Julian Alvarez played the part of a promising striker in place of him. But Lautaro will like to be back in form when he returns to club football.

Even though Premier League clubs were chasing the Argentinian, it is highly unlikely to happen. At least until the end of this season, Lautaro Martinez is surely staying with the Italian side.
