Gazzetta an Italian news website reports Skriniar expects to play in the CL final. The 28-year-old is making effort to play Manchester City in Istanbul next month. This is according to the Gazzetta.As he recovers from back surgery. Skriniar is still sidelined and won’t be back until at least the Champions League final.
The Slovakian had back surgery to address a condition he had been experiencing since the end of January. There has never been any question that, barring Inter reaching the Champions League final, the recovery timeframe would prevent him from playing the balance of the season.
But the Nerazzurri have already done it. They defeated rival AC Milan in the semifinals, and secured a place in the Istanbul championship game. It’s now a battle against time for Skriniar. He is preparing for the championship game against City.The Slovakian underwent surgery in France and is now recovering back in Milan.
Skriniar addition will strengthen Inter’s defence in the CL final
Skriniar is currently making every effort to recover in time for the championship game.
The Slovakian is not leaving Inter in the best possible way, it is true. Beppe Marotta, CEO, acknowledges that Skriniar’s decision to not have his contract extended has left some people still feeling resentful.The former Sampdoria player still has a chance to leave the team on a positive note, though.
