Manchester United Captain Harry Maguire and Rashford Bust-Up

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford were caught on the sideline mics after they got into an argument during Manchester United’s 0 – 0 draw against Crystal Palace.

The misfiring from the forward might have frustrated the other players around the pitch including the captain Harry Maguire. And the lack of creativity from the deep could be the cause of frustration for Marcus Rashford who looked tired against Palace.

This situation caused a heated argument between the two English Internationals. They both used foul words at each other in this argument.

Manchester United drew three consecutive 0-0 games; they only managed a single on target against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

THE ARGUMENT BETWEEN MAGUIRE AND RASHFORD

A conversation was picked up by an on-field microphone between Maguire and Rashford, a situation in the second half.

Rashford asked, “What do you want me to do?”. To which Maguire replied, “F*****g get back onside!”. Rashford then hit back at the Captain by saying, “Shut the f**k up, f**king k**bhead”.

Supporters have reacted to the scenes on social media with their own opinions. Rashford and Maguire who is generally calm and collected lost their cool on his moment. The reason might be their tightly packed schedule with almost no rest to either men.

This heated situation didn’t change the quality of Manchester United’s game on Wednesday evening and they remain toothless throughout the game.  The Red Devils were in a title race but right now their poor form and Manchester City winning run put them 14 points behind the top spot.

“It’s not good as you know, if you want to move up the table you need to win. You have to earn the right, you have to win tackles, you have to fight you have to play passes better, we kept giving the ball away. The tempo was missing, once in a while it happens. It wasn’t one of our best nights that’s for sure.” – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Manchester United have to find form and be more clinical in front of the goal ahead of huge fixtures. Mainly the Sunday night clash against league leader Manchester City and UEFA Europa League clash against AC Milan on Thursday.
