Manchester United are keeping a tab on Stade Brestois player Romain Faivre.
Roman Faivre is a 22-year-old French Midfielder who currently plays for Stade Brestois in Ligue 1. He is a versatile midfielder who can be deployed as a central midfielder or a right/left midfielder.
This season has been a breakthrough season for him as he has made 19 appearances in Ligue 1 so far. In those appearances, he has scored 4 goals and has grabbed 3 assists.
His versatility and ability to read the game well has attracted a lot of attention from Europe. And one of the clubs paying attention is Manchester United who are looking at the situation closely.
Manchester United forerunners to grab Faivre’ signature?
According to METRO, Manchester United are keeping Faivre on the radar as they are interested in signing him in the summer transfer window.
Manchester who are top of the Premier League table have one of the best midfielders in the world. Midfielders like Donny Van De Beek, Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Scott Mctominay, and Matic. However, with Pogba set for a potential exit, Manchester United have identified Faivre as a potential long term replacement for Pogba.
United would face stiff competition from Paris Saint Germain who are also monitoring Faivre situation closely.
However, one hurdle clubs could face while trying to sign the player is his contract. The player had signed a contract till 2025 which will keep him with the club for that long.
Therefore, United would have to open talks as soon as possible with Brest so that they can initiate the process of signing him. A transfer for the player can materialize depending upon the negotiations that take place between the clubs. So a move to United could sooner or later be on the cards.
