Barca may lose Frimpong to Red devils

According to Sport, the club is now the favourite to recruit the 22-year-old ahead of Barcelona, who is dealing with Financial Fair Play concerns.
The Blaugrana must cut their salary cost by a whopping €200 million this summer. Else La Liga may refuse to allow them to recruit new players. Meanwhile, Frimpong would love to return to Manchester, where he spent ten years at the Manchester City academy before joining Celtic.

Frimpong set to be the new right back for Red devils

Frimpong has had an outstanding season at Leverkusen. He scored eight goals and assisting nine times in 37 appearances across all competitions.
The Dutchman, who has played right-back and right wing-back, has also stood out defensively, averaging 1.7 tackles and 6.7 duels won per game. Frimpong appears to be the ideal prospect to become United’s first-choice right-back.This season, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot have both impressed at times. However neither has the all-around ability of the Manchester City graduate.
While Wan-Bissaka has thrived defensively for the club. Dalot has shown to be more efficient in the last third of the pitch. Frimpong would provide the ideal blend of offence and defense. Therefore, signing him in the upcoming transfer window appears to be a stunner.

Leverkusen now values him at €50 million, but United hopes to reduce the final price by incorporating performance-based add-ons. The arrival of Frimpong could pave the way for Wan-Bissaka’s departure. Diogo Dalot is set to stay, with contract negotiations already underway.

United boss Ten Hag admires Frimpong

According to noted journalist Florian Plettenberg, Manchester United has begun talks with the agent of Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong. Frimpong has been on the club’s radar for several months, and Plettenberg has now acknowledged that talks with his agent have begun.
The first round of meetings was seen as “very positive.” United manager Erik ten Hag admires the Dutchman, who has contributed 17 goals this season.
Ten Hag prefers to collaborate with attacking fullbacks. Frimpong would be a significant boost over Dalot in the coming term.
Transfermarkt presently values him at €35 million. This appears to be a reasonable price for the former Manchester City graduate, who may wish to prove himself in the Premier League.
