Manchester United wants to hire Zinedine Zidane as their Next Manager. The Red Devils are reportedly trying to convince the Former Real Madrid manager to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Reports have suggested that the Premier League giants have made a strong attempt to bring Zidane to Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, things at Manchester United has taken a sudden shift. The Premier League side under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer started the season on a high note as they were the League leaders in the first month. They also made some impressive signings during the summer Transfer window as well. The Club signed Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo who returned to Old Trafford after 10 years.
However, their recent form has been very disappointing. Manchester United lost three of their 5 previous Premier League fixtures and registered only one victory. The first major blow for them came against Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League this season. The Red Devils have definitely lost their X-Factor for now as they lost to their bitter rivals Liverpool by 5-0. They were out-muscled by Manchester City during the first derby of the season by 2-0.
Solskjaer has remained in his position at Old Trafford despite a disappointing run of form, but the Norwegian’s future with the Red Devils is far from secure. Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has been constantly linked with a Managerial move to Manchester United. But, according to the Times, the club’s top priority is to /persuade Zidane to take the position.
Will Ronaldo’s presence at Manchester United lure Zinedine Zidane to the Old Trafford?
One of the main highlights of Zinedine Zidane’s managerial career was winning 3 Consecutive UEFA Champions League trophies with Real Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane were both parts of the team. Manchester United can take full advantage of the situation with former Los Blancos players Ronaldo and Varane could lead him to accept the challenge.
However, reports have claimed that the Frenchman is quite unsure whether a move to Manchester United would be the right step in his career at the moment. If United are to sign Brendan Rodgers, they will have to pay a compensation fee to the Foxes. Meanwhile, Zidane has not taken up a new job since leaving Real Madrid earlier this year.
The Frenchman is hoping to succeed Didier Deschamps as the next France Head Coach once the position gets vacant. The Legendary midfielder is keen to manage the French National Team.
