Borussia Dortmund

The German footballer and captain of Borussia Dortmund, Marco Reus is back with the German club. For some time he remained on the bench but now he is back in action.

Captain Majestic: Marco Reus of Borussia Dortmund

Marco Reus is an important part of the BVB. He is an attacking midfielder. He can create goal-scoring opportunities benefitting the forward line. Also, he is an excellent striker of the ball and even makes long passes. Over the years, he has played a significant part in Dortmund’s rise over the years.

He also inspires his players and leads them. Edin Terzić, coach of Borussia Dortmund is happy to have his courageous captain back on the field. He said:

“Marco Reus is an important factor for us. We’ve missed our captain. We’re glad to have him back.”

In the game against Union Berlin at Stadion An der Alten Försterei, Berlin, this weekend, Union Berlin defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-0. In the 46th minute, Marco Reus came from the bench but the damage has already been done. Dortmund was on the losing course and Reus failed to uplift the player’s confidence for a stellar performance.

Borussia Dortmund is struggling to perform

Importantly, top teams in both Serie A and Bundesliga are struggling against the onslaught of other teams. Juventus, A.C. Milan, and Inter Milan are having a difficult season in Serie A. So, does Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga

If we say “Borussia Dortmund is having a tough season”, that would be an understatement. They have consistently underperformed. As a result of which, they are stranded at the 8th position. It lost important matches to VFL Bochum, RB Leipzig, and Werder Bremen this season in the Bundesliga.

It is consistently being outplayed by the opposition. Hence, BVB 09 is having trouble rising on the leaderboard. Club football is going for a long break due to World Cup in Qatar. Hence, Edin Terzić will have enough time to contemplate on the team’s performance and make necessary changes.
