PSG are reportedly interested in signing Marcus Rashford from Manchester United. The French Champions are in the market for another attacker. They are looking for a player who can play wide and in the center. Rashford is therefore considered the perfect fit. Coach Christopher Gatlier confirmed the idea of signing another attacker. In his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s match against Montpelier, he said;

“We want another striker to come in. With a busy schedule, we want arrivals. The club is working; I am in direct contact with Luis Campos,”

London Based French journalist Julian Laurens reports that PSG met with Rashford’s brother and agent Dwayne Rashford last week to discuss a potential move. The 24-year-old is excited about the idea of playing for the French side. He believes it is the right time in his career to try something new.

The Red Devils man has been in and out of form in the past couple of seasons. He had only five goals and two assists in the 31 appearances he managed last season. The English international ‘s contract ends in 2023. However, Manchester United can extend it for another year.

PSG’s interest: shocking developments

Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag is not open to letting Rashford go. In the pre-match press conference, ETH confirmed that;

“Rashford is important, you have seen from the first day I am in at Man United”.
 “I’m thrilled with him and don’t want to lose Marcus Rashford this summer”.
 “Rashford’s part of our plans. He will stay at Manchester United; he’s not gonna leave the club”.

The statement should not come as a surprise. Rashford was one of the star performers in the Man UTD pre-season. However, he failed to make any impact on the first matchday loss against Brighton.

The ex-academy graduate has always been hailed as one of the most exciting prospects to come out of the Old Trafford Academy. It would be interesting to see how he performs this season.
