Barcelona can sell Raphinha owing to his anger issues

The Brazilian speedster is in his debut season with FC Barcelona. Raphinha has had a rocky start in the Catalan capital. He has consistently exceeded his claimed objective of double-digit goals and assists. However Raphinha has had other temperamental issues that have harmed his reputation at FC Barcelona.

Throughout the season, the left-footed winger launched outbursts that drew the attention of cameras and, as a result, various media sources. For example, after being substituted against Manchester United in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League play-off, the player displayed apparent dissatisfaction. Despite being pulled off after a lengthy 83-minute stint, he was kicking and shoving various items as he returns to his seat. Following the incident, the footballer pledged not to allow his emotions get the best of him. Xavi advised Raphinha to avoid repeating similar actions. They did, however, occur again. According to Mundo Deportivo, Raphinha made aggressive actions against Getafe as well as during training sessions. In the latter case, Xavi Hernandez took the player aside privately. Xavi strictly imposed on him the importance of keeping his wrath and disappointments out of sight.

After palying 87 minutes against Getafe, the player chose to react angrily because of his substitution. Barcelona believe that the 26-year-old may still command a high fee for his services. Owing to his reputation among Premier League clubs from his time at Leeds United, Chelsea is ready to sign him. It is also possible that the Raphinha will leave to ensure he receives the minutes he desires. His play time will become even more lesser next season with a fully-fit Ousmane Dembele available to Xavi and the potential arrival of Lionel Messi.
