Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Manager Xavi considers Marc-Andre ter Stegen to be a ‘non-transferable’ player. It’s not that surprising given the German international’s stellar season breaking several goalkeeping records. In addition Ter Stegen is enjoying a phenomenal season and kept 25 clean sheets in 33 games for Xavi’s side.

Barcelona defenders Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen

Along with Ter Stegen, the centre-back pairing of Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen is outstanding this season. Hence they are ‘untouchable’ and will remain in Spotify Camp Nou. Indeed, rumours claim that Araujo will be registered very soon. Despite the fact that Barça only signed Christensen last summer, they are already considering extending his contract.

Outstanding youngsters Frenkie de Jong and Pedri

Frenkie de Jong, who was almost compelled out of the club during the summer transfer window last year, has also become non-transferable at Barça. The Dutchman has put up outstanding performances one after the other and is an important member of the team, though the club may hold salary negotiations with him. Pedri, De Jong’s midfield partner, is another superstar who is untouchable within Barcelona. The 20-year-old is undeniably one of Xavi’s most crucial components. Thus he will not be allowed to depart at any cost.

Robert Lewandowski and Ousmane Dembele

Further up the pitch, Robert Lewandowski and Ousmane Dembele are certain to be non-transferable. However his form has dipped in the second half of the season, Lewandowski’s value to the team remains undeniable. Dembele is favourite of Xavi. Hence talks over a new contract for him are also due to begin, since his present agreement expires next year.

Apart from these seven names, it is safe to assume that Barcelona sees Gavi, Jules Kounde, and Alejandro Balde as vital members of the club in the future. Barca will not entertain any bids for them this summer.
