Real Madrid eyeing another Brazilian wonderkid Matheus Franca

Real Madrid have a track record for signing Brazilian wonderkids and developing them into first-team superstars. Vinicius Junior is currently one of the finest players in the world. Rodrygo, on the other hand, is on the cusp of becoming a starter, and he showed everyone what he is capable of with a brace against Chelsea in the Champions League away at Stamford Bridge.

Real Madrid may sign Flamengo prodigy Matheus Franca

Real Madrid also made a significant move recently, agreeing to a €60 million transfer deal with Palmeiras for Endrick, who is still only 16 years old. He is scheduled to arrive in Madrid in 2024. Los Blancos, on the other hand, appear to be keeping an eye on the finest Brazilian talents. And one who captured their interest has a €200 million release clause in his current Flamengo contract. Matheus Franca is the name. He scored 8 goals in 44 matches for Flamengo since 2021. However, there is a lot of competition for his signing.

Crystal Palace, according to Globoesporte (via AS), has sent a club representative to Brazil to observe Franca. Flamengo have already rejected €20 million bids from Newcastle United and Bayer Leverkusen. Since 2021, Real Madrid has been interested in the wonderkid.

While Franca’s contract may include an exorbitant release clause, one would anticipate his real transfer cost to be considerably lower when he does decide to depart Flamengo. There does not appear to be a shortage of suitors for his signature. Franca can play as an attacking midfielder or a center-forward, and he already has an excellent eye for goal. He’s also only 19 years old and is anticipated to improve with time and experience. Given their recent success in securing Brazilian wonderkids, it is easy to see why Real Madrid would be interested in signing Franca.
