Real Madrid has no interest in signing Neymar Jr. this summer

Brazil

Intermediaries are reported to have given Real Madrid an opportunity to sign Neymar, who PSG values at roughly €90 million. According to Defensa Central, Paris Saint-Germain will try to part ways with Neymar in a deal valued roughly €90 million. Several clubs, including Real Madrid, have been approached by intermediaries about the Brazilian attacker. However, the Merengues do not intend to sign him during the summer transfer window.

Real Madrid intends not to sign the former Barcelona winger Neymar Jr.

Since joining Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in a world-record transfer in August 2017, Neymar has been on a roller coaster ride. And the last half-decade has been difficult for both the team and the player. While the 31-year-old has always displayed flashes of brilliance, injuries have kept him out for extended periods of time. This season, the 31-year-old was in excellent form for PSG, tallying 18 goals and 17 assists in 29 games. However, Neymar’s future remains unknown, with Les Parisiens eager to offload him for roughly €90 million. Intermediaries have also approached numerous high-profile teams, including Real Madrid, about the player.

During the summer transfer window, Real Madrid will look for various offensive targets. At the end of the 2022/23 season, the Merengues will lose four attackers for free. The exits of Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio, in particular, can be devastating for Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants have an interest in a number of strikers to replace Benzema. The exits of Asensio and Eden Hazard, though, will force them to sign a wide attacker. And Neymar has surfaced as a possible replacement for the Real Madrid forward. The Merengues, on the other hand, have no intention of signing the Brazilian international. So it’s difficult to imagine Real Madrid paying PSG’s asking price of €90 million for the 31-year-old. Meanwhile, the Ligue 1 champions are ready to loan out the seasoned attacker this summer in order to get him off their books. Real Madrid, on the other hand, will not pursue that option too.

The former Barcelona attacker is expected to make the move to the Premier League. For the time being, Neymar’s future is uncertain. And it’ll be fascinating to see where he plays in the 2023/24 season in Premier League.
