As per a report from Spanish news outlet Fichajes, Real Madrid is reportedly showing interest in Leroy Sane. The 26-year-old winger could leave Bayern Munich during the upcoming summer transfer window. Meanwhile, Real Madrid sees him as a possible replacement for Marco Asensio.
Leroy Sane, who is a German international, first gained recognition at FC Schalke 04 before his career took off at Manchester City. However, he left the Premier League club in July 2020 to return to the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich. Since then, the 26-year-old has had inconsistent performances.
Leroy Sane, who has been playing for Bayern Munich since 2020, has been contributing regularly to goals but has not been a first-choice starter. This season, the 26-year-old has made 32 appearances, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists. However, his long-term future at Bayern Munich is uncertain, especially following Thomas Tuchel’s arrival. Real Madrid has taken note of the situation and is reportedly interested in the German international.
What made Real Madrid to look out for Leroy Sane?
Real Madrid’s interest in Leroy Sane is understandable, given the player’s potential as a replacement for Marco Asensio. As well as his impressive goal contributions of 13 goals and seven assists in 32 outings this season. However, Sane is not the only Bayern Munich attacker on Los Blancos’ radar. As they also showed interest in Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry.
Real Madrid are showing interest in signing Leroy Sane from Bayern Munich as a potential replacement for Marco Asensio. Sane’s versatility to play on either flank makes him an attractive target. However, it is unclear when Los Blancos will approach Bayern Munich.
Sane’s potential move to Real Madrid depends on Asensio’s contract discussions with the club. If Asensio leaves, Sane will be one of the top targets for Los Blancos.
