Ronaldo Griezmann swap rejected by Red Devils

Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo have been in the headlines too much recently. The club and player are not seeing eye to eye over a decision for Ronaldo to stay or leave. Ronaldo has asked his agent to look for other clubs as he intends to leave Old Trafford. But Manchester United have been clear in their stance regarding Cristiano. The Red Devils have made it clear that the Portuguese is not for sale.

This has left the Portuguese striker frustrated with what he is going through. Ronaldo has no intention to play for a club that has not qualified for the Champions league. He has since been looking for a club that is in the champions league. But the likes of Barcelona, Chelsea, and Bayern have all rejected the Portuguese. But Atletico Madrid have been cited as a potential destination for Cristiano.

As per reports, a Griezmann and Ronaldo swap was on the table for Manchester United. But Manchester United have rejected the deal as they have no intention to let Ronaldo go. Erik Ten Hag has already stated that Ronaldo will play a vital part in his team. But Ronaldo, 37, is not even considering playing Europa League football. However, Atletico Madrid have not said No to a deal and would be willing to come to an agreement if United wants to.

Griezmann is Open To Joining Ten Hag if Ronaldo moves

Antoine Griezmann went from a Ballon D’or candidate to a player who is just being pushed away by clubs. The Frenchman is a shadow of his former self and has been a pretty flop signing for Atletico Madrid. He joined his former club after a difficult stint at Barcelona. Griezmann has been misfiring for Atletico who are looking for ways to get rid of him. However, No club has been interested in Griezmann so far.

It will be interesting to see how the transfers of Ronaldo and Griezmann end up. One wants UCL football and the other just wants a club that can trust him. One may feel bad for Griezmann for how his prime years were wasted at Barcelona without much silverware as well. As for Ronaldo, the 5-time Ballon D’or winner was the best player for Manchester United last season. But the team he played in was much more a mess than a team. The coming days are going to be massive!
