Paris Saint-Germain is right now beating everybody. They are favorites to win both the Ligue 1 and the UEFA Champions League. However, one news association with the French champions is doing more rounds than their recent form.
Paris Saint-Germain wants to keep Messi
The Argentinian legend’s contract ends at the conclusion of this season, but Messi has the option to prolong his stay in Paris for an additional year. Les Parisiens (The Parisians) are just contemplating well this additional year. But even if Messi stays, negotiations would still be necessary because the conditions of any extension might be either initiated or agreed upon by both parties.
After the World Cup, the issue will be examined, and Messi will then determine where he will play the following season, in Paris Saint-Germain colors or Barcelona’s. The Copa America winner’s return to Spain is something that Barcelona board members have expressed a wish to do. They will certainly push harder after the World Cup is over.
PSG and Lionel Messi’s partnership this season
The Paris Saint-Germain front three has been their mercurial best in all the games they have played together this season. The Argentinian, in particular, has contributed to eight additional goals for Paris Saint-Germain. He has also scored seven goals for the French champions this season across all competitions. With his accomplishments for both club and country, Messi is once again at the top of the world rankings this season.
It is understandable why the Paris Saint-Germain board would not want to split up their incredible front three given how well the Ligue 1 club has performed so far this season under their French manager Christophe Galtier.
Les Rouge-et-Bleu (The Red-and-Blues) is one the most successful Football Club in France. However, they are still waiting to win the Champions League trophy. This year, this dream seems within their grasp.
