Arsenal might go all out for Torino defender Alessandro Buongiorno

According to a report from Italy, Arsenal has been expressing interest in acquiring Torino defender Alessandro Buongiorno. The 24-year-old Alessandro Buongiorno, who emerged from Torino’s academy, secured a spot in their first team in 2018. He has been a consistent presence since the beginning of the last season, and his noteworthy performances have garnered attention.

La Repubblica, as relayed by FcInterNews, is reporting that Arsenal is among the interested parties pursuing Alessandro Buongiorno.

The report emphasizes AC Milan’s entry into the pursuit of the center-back. It suggests that the task for AC Milan may not be straightforward, as they not only have to contend with competition from Arsenal and Inter Milan but also navigate negotiations with Torino chairman Urbano Cairo.

Will Arsenal participate in an auction for Buongiorno?

Alessandro Buongiorno currently has a contract until 2028. Meanwhile reports say that Torino’s officials are seeking approximately €35 million. That is to consider releasing him after the conclusion of this season.

La Repubblica suggests that Torino is optimistic about Arsenal meeting the fee. Thus, he anticipates triggering an ‘auction’ next summer involving Mikel Arteta’s side, Inter Milan, and AC Milan for the player’s services.

The Italy international, Alessandro Buongiorno, has been scoring two goals in 12 appearances so far this season.

Meanwhile, Arsenal has been looking for midfield options as well in the transfer market. Arteta wants to bolster the midfield options of the club which will come in handy during after the second half of the season.
