David Wiliams struck a stoppage-time goal coming in as a substitute to hand Mohun Bagan a dramatic 1-0 win over Chennaiyin FC in the Indian Super League.

There was a high drama in the dying minutes as D Williams the substitute scored in the injury time of the second half, It was not over yet as Mohun Bagan almost conceded a goal but thanks to Tiri’s match saving clearance Mohun Bagan managed to grab the three points.

Mohun Bagan started the match with positive intact and dictated the game but the co-ordination was missing between their attacking duo R Krishna and M Singh.Chennaiyin didnt offer much threat going forward as it struggles without Rafael Crivellaro and Anirudh Thapa in the XI. and the match ended up in the favor of Mohun Bagan.

The Mariners are now two points off Mumbai City FC, which plays SC East Bengal tomorrow.

David Williams: the thirty-two years old Australian who came in in the sixty-seventh minute and changed the game in the injury time scoring a goal and snatched the victory from the hands of Chennaiyin FC.

Mohun Bagan will face North East United on Tuesday at Fatorda Stadium. Chennaiyin will play Mumbai City at GMC Stadium in another match of Indian Super League.
