Robert Lewandowski signed for Bayern Munich in 2014 from their rivals Borussia Dortmund. Since his arrival in Munich, the striker has been in phenomenal form in all their success. In his 370 matches for Bayern, the Polish forward has scored a total of 341 goals till now. These kinds of numbers make him one of the most feared strikers in football.
Despite that, though, Lewandowski faces an uncertain future in the Bundesliga with just a year remaining on his contract. And according to some reports Barcelona is interested in securing his services for next season. He will surely add more firepower to Barcelona and will help them dominate world football once again.
According to reports, Lewandowski is unhappy at Bayern due to the club not meeting his long-term contract demands. He also believes that he has achieved everything with Bayern and wants a new challenge elsewhere. The Polish star has won the Bundesliga title each year he has been at the club. Moreover, he has also won the Champions League, Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, three DFB-Pokals, and five German Supercups.
In addition to this, last season he also set a new record of 41 goals for a single Bundesliga campaign. With this, he broke a 49-year-old record held by Gerd Muller. Among the reasons why he is seeking a summer exit is the fact he isn’t satisfied with current manager Julian Nagelsmann’s tactics. This season, Bayern has been less dominant than usual. Moreover, Nagelsmann’s suitability for the position is also questioned.
With all this, Lewandowski could move away from Bayern and join Barcelona to face a new challenge.
